Neighbours actor Takaya Honda to MC Memory Walk & Jog in Hobart tomorrow
Locals are getting ready for the Hobart Memory Walk & Jog 2021, which will be held this Saturday 13 March 2021 at the Regatta Grounds.
The event will be MC’d by Neighbours actor Takaya Honda, whose mother was diagnosed with younger onset dementia in her 50s.
The course is family-friendly, suitable for all levels of fitness. You can choose to take part as an individual or get a team together, and select whether you take part in a 2km or 6km walk, or 8km run.
Currently there are an estimated 11,500 people living with dementia in Tasmania. With that figure projected to increase to about 16,700 by 2058, events like Memory Walk & Jog play an important role not only in funding support, but also in raising awareness of dementia.
